Edmund Gorge
Formerly known as the Silent or lower, the rocky canyon of the river Kamenice, the last of three passes on the lower river, east of Hrensko. Its walls are steep, often vertical rock walls, protruding above the surface to a height of 50 to 150 meters, with a clearly visible kvádrovým disintegration of sandstone, with some boulders collapsed on the bottom of the canyon. Originally completely inaccessible in the late 19th century. started from the command prince Edmund Clary-Aldringen expensive treatment, in which 200 workers participated under the leadership of Italian experts. On 4/5/1890 gorge was inaugurated. In the section where the rocks fall directly into the water, replaced the path cruise boats. Access from the upper edge of Hrensko the footpath on the left first, then on the right bank Kamenice under rock overhangs, with three tunnels on the sluice, over which the lower harbor boats. After the water is possible to offend the next leg of 960 m, which builds on the walking trail along the left bank of the final bridge, where it is possible to go on a wild gorge or off the stairs to the limit. Above the canyon performs a number of interesting rock formations, such as family or Rock Ranger.
