It is a stone, the historically protected and non-use road bridge, which was also called the Large and Long Bridge. It was built in 1564-1569, managed its construction and stone Hölle S. H. Franck. Ploučnice bridges, not far from the mouth of the Elbe. Most traffic is sandstone building, which - despite their emergence in the second half of the 16th century - is built in the late Gothic style with an interesting Gothic winded, which has its origins in the shape of the castle battlements. Vaclav and reliefs of martyrdom - the three major Czech saint, respectively. patrons - a later date, however, dates from 1714 and is the author of the famous MJ Brokof family Baroque sculptors. The bridge is 84 meters long, 4.8 meters wide and its maximum height above the river level is 7.7 meters. It has four arches of unequal span and camber. Construction of the bridge was opened after the predecessor of today's Old Bridge in 1561 demolished a big flood. Students Decin Industrial School under the guidance of his professor J. Suchardy made precise orientation of the bridge and walkway Decin chain. This has allowed their colleagues in the Faculty of Civil Engineering VUT Brno made according to supplied documentation accurate models of these two historic transportation buildings. Models are on display at the Museum of roads and highways in the Great Mezirici. In the immediate vicinity of the stone bridge is a modern communication, so the historic bridge - rebuilt in 1985 - is now out of service.
